Ok, here you go.
Unzip the file and copy on top of the existing .vmx file.
Do this with Fusion shut down.

Hello,
You attached the wrong files for reconstructing a vmx file.
The actual logs that are needed can be found in:
/Users/mackyair/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/JoshuaRVM-W764.vmwarevm/
(right click)/ Shift click on the VM JoshuaRVM-W764 and select "Show Package Contents" from the popup menu.
Then attach the .log files you find in that folder to a reply here and I'll try to generate a .vmx file from that.

Awesome.... and it runs much faster now!
Hi,
Glad to hear it works.
Re. running faster, that must have another reason as the vmx file is the same as you had before.

May this old pensioner throw himself on the mercy for this support forum?
I have a corrupt VMX file. I am running Fusion Pro 7.1.2 on an iMac running OS X El Capitan v 10.11.4
I use FM to host a couple of financial applications (Quicken 2004!) in Windows 7 and it is coming to the point where I need to use this software to do my Tax Return so ned to get fusion up and running again.
I attach my VMware lot file and all help will be gratefully accepted.
Dear Continuum,
Many thanks for an incredibly fast response and pleased to report your VMX file worked perfectly once copied into the right location and renamed. I confess Fusion shuddered a bit the first time I started in up with a few messages (including a message for Microsoft saying my copy of Windows was not correct!) but a shut down and restart of Fusion and everything is now running beautifully so many thanks to you from me and (if he know) the Taxman when he gets my return.
Just fantastic support so thanks again
Patrick
Yes - 2 hours is a good response time for a forum.
Learning how to do it yourself will further reduce the needed time to 5 minutes - its really easy.
