What are the supported SQL Server versions with Appvolumes 2.9?

According to the release notes: only SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2012 are supported: App Volumes 2.9 Release Notes

According the User Guide: SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1, SQL Server 2012 SP1 and SQL Server 2014 are supported: https://www.vmware.com/pdf/app-volumes-29-users-guide.pdf

My client wants to move to SQL Server 2014? Is this supported? Is this working?

Hi,

Thanks for finding out the mismatch.

The SQL versions mentioned in the release note is correct and the User guide is incorrect. SQL server 2014 is not supported yet.

We are now 1 month further and the incorrect documentation is still not corrected.

VMware should realize that their customers have to be able to rely on the supplied documentation.
