Single Sign on using Web client

Dear All,

I upgraded our Vcenter Server  to 6.0 from 5.5. All went well. After accessing the Web client the first time with IE11 I downloaded and installed the client integration plugin. But each time I start the web client I see the link "download client integration plugin". It appears the login page does not detect the already installed integration plugin. I verified it and the integration plugin is really installed on the machine. The same is when I use Firefox to access the web client. It's a Windows 8.1 Pro machine

Also the tick mark "Use windows session authentication" is greyed. I can login fine with my windows login credential.

Is there a chance to fix it? I de-installed the client integration plugin for version 5.5.

Thanks,

Edy

There are some solutions to your problem, take a look on this another post: vSphere Web Client integration plugin problems in Windows 8.1

Recently I got this problem after upgrade a customer vCenter to version 6 and the solution was add the vCenter URL to Local Intranet zone.

HI theire,

could you try out:

Client Integration broken by Chrome v42

seems IE11 is not compatible with NPAPI Plugins:  http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_7/are-npapi-plugins-still-compatible-with-i...

But maybe the NPAPI activate on Chrome works for you also Smiley Wink.

Indeed - thank you the plug ins worked in Chrome. I'm just wondering why the plugin in worked in IE11 with Vsphere 5.5 and stopped working with Vsphere 6

Hello,

I was also able to get it work in IE after tweaking some security settings. I did add the site to the local intranet zone.
