Hi All,
We are running vRealize Operation Manager Version 6.0.0.2263110 Build 2263110. Our Virtual Center is at the following version - 5.5 Update 1 Build 1945274
We are seeing the following Alert in our console
Adapter VC : Cannot retrieve Health Information from vCenter's Health Service located at URL: https://SERVERNAME:8443/vws
Does anyone know what this could be related to?
Every time we clear the alert it comes back.
HI All,
We ended up fixing the issue in our environment, we also called in for Vmware support on this one.. This is what we did was stop the vCenter Adapter, go to the Adapter and click on "Manage Registrations" just unregistered the adapter and re-register it with your VC instance. Re-start the Adapter. After doing that process the error has not reoccured.
check on the vCenter side whether the health service is running and accessible.
there are few KBs on troubleshooting it as well.
We have the same issue in our enviroment. I get the same Notification event on all vcenter servers regardles of version (4,5,5.1, 5.5) Looks to me like it is a bug in the vCenter Adapter for vROPS6. I haven't figured a way to fix this
can you share what have you done to research/fix it;
is the health service running? What's the reply from that URL in a browser? Have you checked the KBs on Health service.
does it work properly in the WebClient
Can you provide me with the KB article numbers please and I can give it a try.
there are many, just search for "vcenter health service KB" in google...
here are some:
VMware KB: VMware vCenter Service health alert generated in vRealize Operations Manager 5.x
VMware KB: vCenter Service Status page alerts: Unable to retrieve health status
VMware KB: vCenter Service Status reports the error: Unable to retrieve health data http://old.h...
VMware KB: The vCenter Inventory Service displays the alert: Unable to retrieve health data from $@

This might have helped in your case but it didn't help in ours.
We have used setups with Windows vCenter Server as well as the vCenter Server Appliance.
In both cases within the the vROps alarm panel the shown error message is being reported.
Notification event - Adapter cxx-xxx-999: Cannot retrieve Health Information from vCenter's Health Service located at URL: https://cxx-xxx-999.secret-treasure.com:8443/vws (censored)
Stopping and starting the node did not resolve this problem, neither did removing and re-registering the node.
When using the VCSA we changed the setting to regenerate (Certificate regeneration enabled = true) certificates but this message kept on appearing.
When I try to open up the URL with wvs shown in the error message I receive the following error:
HTTP Status 404 - /vws/
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
type Status report
message /vws/
description The requested resource is not available.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VMware vFabric tc Runtime 2.9.5.SR1/7.0.50.C.RELEASE
Not sure if, when all works well, I should see a different page there, but sadly this is all I see at this point.
Version information (taken from the vRealize Operations Manager Administration window): 6.0.2.2777145
Has anyone experienced the same issue? And come on, be honest. I have done 4 installations by now and they all show the same errors, all in different environments. What the bug?!
Thanks & best regards

Same issue with vOPs Version 6.1.0.3038036, https://SERVERNAME:8443/vws doesn't appear to be a valid URL.
Tired all the suggestions in this article and haven't been able to resolve the issue.
Have you already tried restarting VC services?
