Unable to add two vCenter Servers 5.5 in linked mode

Hi All,

In my home lab I am trying to get two vCenter Server running 5.5 in linked mode.

I installed the First VC as simple install with embedded database.

I then installed Second VC with custom install for SSO / Web client / Inventory Service / VC. During the SSO installation I choose the third option """"""""vCenter Single Sign on for an additional vCenter Server with a new Site"""""""""" and pointed it to First VC.

During the installation for the Second VC I choose to install VC as standalone and not as linked mode becuase I was getting while trying to add VC in linked mode.

After the installation completed I then ran vCenter Server Linked Mode configuration setup from the Second VC and pointed it to the first VC. The installation returns an error.I followed VMware KB: Installing vCenter Server in linked mode fails with the error: LDAP: error code 49 - 8009... but no go.

Any suggestion where am I going wrong.

Thanks all in advance

User used for run the Linked Mode configuration utility has administrator rights on both vCenter servers ? And are you using the "Run As Administrator" option ?

This is my test lab and the domain that I have created is home.local. I login by Administrator account of my AD Domain. which by default is added as local admin on both the VC Servers.

I tried to run the Linked Mode configuration utility as Admin but no go. I even disabled User Account Control on both the vCenters but no go.
