Does anyone have issues with installing addons in Chrome even if you have the DriveLetterSettings=6 setting enabled? I do see the D drive attached to the Writable volume while it is being hidden and we don't have the TEMP_DIRECTORY issue when installing.
What happens in our case is that we get a message saying "Package is invalid. Details: 'Could not unzip extension'." I am able to download the .CRX file for the extension but when i unpack it and try to install in deve3loper mode i get an error saying "Failed to load extension from: (\\LOCATION\EXTENSION)
Cannot load extension with file or directory name _metadata. Filenames starting with "_" are reserved for use by the system.
If i then remove the underscore in front of the metadata folder in the extension it does work.
For me this is a workaround, for our users not realy.
I was wondering if there are more users experiencing the issue. We have agent 2.9 installed, so latest version.
