Just echoing the title, I am trying to update to 7.1.2 update and I get Software update internal client error (CDS_HTTP_INTERNAL_ERROR) error when I attempt to download.
Hello,
Interesting looks like the update is finally on the update servers, when I just tried to check for updates it just offered update 7.1.2.
I had reported this to vmware as updates for Fusion as well as Workstation still were not available via the update channels.
Days after the release. Haven't gotten an answer from the VMware person that I asked, but guess I will soon
My best guess is that you checked while the CDN servers where still getting the updates.
Just try again in a few hours.

Hello ANGTOB,
Thanks for the report.
If the original poster is also in Germany then there's always a reasonable doubt that one of the CDN servers is having a problem especially as you still seem to have the same problem, I'll point somebody at VMware to this topic.
I would expect however that you can download the full Fusion 7.1.2 install without problems.
The download link for that is here: Download VMware Fusion 7

Hi Wil,
thank you for this information. I installed the new version, updated the VMWare tools and all works perfect.

Hi,
Kindly refer the article below to resolve this issue.

Shivakv
Hi Shivakv
Although it appears a solution it is considerably inconvenient. This issue has been going on for us for the last two updates and clearly it has been getting worse. Every time we do the manual update, we have to be careful not to install the anti-virus software for our Windows virtual build machines. These are isolated from the internet and any anti-virus software interferes with our build software processes. We also have issues with ThinPrint which is re-enabled overtime we do a full install of the latest VMWare. ThinPrint interferes with our Network printer drivers and causes system freezes on our systems. So we painfully have to go and disable the ThinPrint services.
We tried with Firewalls turned of and still have the problem. It is clearly a problem with the VMWare automated update procedures and it is about time this was investigated thoroughly.
Regards,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Shivakv is not a VMware employee (if he is, then he is using the wrong VMTN account) note that he has no "vm" icon next to his name like for example Corey_R.
I have notified VMware about the download problem before. But that was only for last VMware Fusion update, it worked fine with 7.1.1 AFAIK, it also should be fixed right now.
If you still have the problem then do try to find the vmware-vmfusionXXX.log files (where XXX can be a number) and attach them to a reply here.
These files can be found in /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/VMware Fusion/
