Per this KB, in order to change the WorkingDir one needs to power off the VM prior to that.
Up until version 5.1 including, we used Vsphere SDKs to change these parameters while running and we never had issues with this.
Also, changing these parameters work fine in any version while VM is suspended and not Powered Off like the KB suggests.
Starting at version 5.5, this operation stopped working for us. We now get "The attempted operation cannot be performed in the current state (Powered on)".
This is a very important feature deprecation that prevents us from upgrading from 5.1.
Can anyone think of anyway around this limitation
