How could I build connections among these four OSs, especially two Ubuntus both hosted in VMware Workstation 10 installed in two Windows PCs?

More background information:

  1. Two Ubuntu 14.x systems both hosted in VMware Workstation 10 installed in two Windows PCs.
  2. Ubuntu in Windows 7 with a static IP(219.x.x.x) is a server; another one acts as a gust in Windows 8.1 with a dynamic IP(192.x.x.x).
  3. I can ping successfully from the guest Ubuntu to 219.x.x.x.

I want to:

  1. build connections between the two Ubuntus via SSH.
  2. access the Git server hosted in Ubuntu server from other three systems.

Are you able to ping, from the guest (192.X.X.X) running on Windows 8.1 to the guest (219.X.X.X) running on Windows 7? I do not think, It's possible.

What device (Hub, Wi-Fi, Switch, etc.,) you have in between Windows 7 and 8.1?

Do you have the networks cards of the VMs configured as bridged to the hosts?

If you use a dummy switch there is a chance to work if all are falling onto the same physical layer.
