Powershell or PowerCLI in particular?

Prior to PowerCLI 6.0 R1, you could get a decent speed up by precompiling XMLSerializers:

There is a handy function to do this for you here: Function to speed-up the execution of the first PowerCLI cmdlet | Robert van den Nieuwendijk&#03...

Wrong thread, but anyway...yeah, if you don't currently hold a VCP (but have done the course), you would either need to do the VCP550 exam, then the VCP6 beta exam or do the "what's new" course, and the beta exam.

This has always been the case between major releases, it has just been complicated by the new expiration of certs and the long product cycle from 5 to 6. Really sucks for those of us that got our VCP5 early on!
