Network traffic

How can I get a sum of the average network throughput, both ingress and egress, of all vms in the environment?

The network usage (kbps) would be my first recommendation if you to wanted to combine/sum ingress and egress. This is tracked at a VM, host, cluster, and datacenter level. Other containers such as custom groups track it s well. Or, are you asking for some type of time-period analysis or data transformation?

If you find this or any other answer useful please mark the answer as correct or helpful.

OK thanks.  I need something like this:

"over the last week, there was average total ingress / egress traffic of 15Gbps including all VMs under this datacenter object"

In vcops 5.8, where do I need to go to get network usage (kbps) - in the vsphere ui or the custom UI?

Does  network usage (kbps) total ingress and egress traffic already or do I have to total egress and ingress myself?

Thanks!
