I am evaluating ESXi 6 for an aerospace application. I wanted to be able to PassThrough a PCI-e card called the Dolphin IX610 to Windows7/Linux. The card does not appear in the list of hardware that is available for PassThrough. What can be done to get this card or any other "non-compliant" PCI/PCI-e cards into this list. Can I update some configuration file with Vendor IDs or does the hardware have to be supported by the ESXi OS?
Any help to shed some light into this would be greatly appreciated.
