ESXi 5.0 start up crashed

I'm facing the following error when ESXi start-up.:smileycry:

I want to re-install the ESXi, however, how can I backup the VM file in ESXi datastore first?

May I know the step that I can follow it?

you can reinstall the host and while installation preserve datastore.

You mean when I insert installation CD, will have a option select for reinstall ESXi and preserv datastore? 

Do you have a print screen of this?

Is this safe?
