Unable to download complete photon-1.0TP1.iso file

Every time I attempt to download photon-1.0TP1.iso from the "get photon ISOs" web site at https://dl.bintray.com/vmware/photon/iso/1.0TP1/x86_64/ I'm only able to download a portion of the download, and the filesize of the truncated file is 402653184, not the ~900MB that the download dialog shows.

Can these files be hosted on somewhere that supports resumeable transfers, rsync, etc.?

Got the OS,  it was because I was going through WiFi, so that could be other people's problems.  Sometimes networking

routes are capped, and can drop after a certain amount of data.  I've seen this before.

When on the wired connection, I got the entire OS.

Thanks

I'll look into it.

Where are you located?

When were you having this trouble?

Did you always get exactly the same size truncated file?

How many times did this happen?

I'm in Phoenix, AZ, USA.

I started having this trouble at approx. 4/20 20:00 MST, and tried again just now (4/21 9:00 MST) and experienced the same issue.

The download just stops at about 370MB of the expected 959MB.  I'm using Firefox on Linux (CentOS 6.6), but experienced the same problem with Chromium).

Same issue here, last night the 20th - from The Netherlands.

Using "wget -c" countless times I managed to get the ISO after all.

Filed an issue at bintray.com too.

Check this link to Twitter for a screenshot of the trouble I ran into: Trying to DL VMware Photon ISO

Cheers, Henk

I just failed,  using WiFi on VMware campus, downloaded what looked like 700Meg, and then failed.  Not sure the exact amount.

Here is the image:

Trying again on wired,  could be there is a download size limit somewhere along the network connection, or a timeout, one of the two.

Our building network is pretty bad.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Have you been able to get the ISO? We've heard back from our CDN partner and we're not seeing a pattern of failures.

I got the whole OS this time, and I also got the whole thing at work with the Internet connection there.

I noticed while it was downloading, that it used to disconnect at about 400MB in size, or after about 60 seconds of transfer.  Maybe there was a timeout somewhere that since has been removed?  Anyway, all appears OK now.

Still would be great if there was rsync access; that's much easier to deal with incomplete transfers than re-downloading the whole thing each time...
