Just starting journey for my VCP5-DCV, where do I start?

Hello,

I've just passed my Cisco CCNP and want to take a different path and get my VCP5-DCV but where do I start?  I have decent laptop with 32gb if men and a 1TB SSD HD etc and I want to use the nested lab method, which I think its called.

I'm on the 5 day course this week and I have been managing our 8 host for a few years now so have some experience.

So what next? How do get the software and how long for the trials.

Any good tutorials to set up a nested home lab? I heard autolabs are good.

Thanks

I presume your class will be on vSphere 5.5, so you should read up on the VCP550 exam - this is a great starting point: (VCP5-DCV) VCP-Data Center Virtualization

Here's Autolab: http://www.labguides.com/autolab/

One challenge you will face is getting evaluation software for vSphere 5.5, now vSphere 6.0 has been released that's what you will be able to download from here: Evaluate and Download VMware Products for a Virtual Infrastructure - VMware | United States
