Changing vpxuser password?

Hi,

I am on a team that is running VMware 5.5, and I am wondering how I could go about changing the vpxuser password. Per internal password policy requirements, it needs to be changed. Any guidance would be appreciated. I am not finding much information on this subject anywhere. I also have to change the password for a number of other accounts.

Thanks!

You don't want to change the password manually. It's vCenter Server which maintains the password and uses it to manage the ESXi hosts.

Please take a look at the documentation Ensure that vpxuser Password Meets Policy to see whether this helps.

I read this document prior to posting, and while it was helpful, it is not what I am looking for. This document addresses password length and expiration policies. I'm interested setting the password, itself, and any process or procedure that would be associated to this operation.
