I don't recall seeing any details on VCA "upgrades" yet - keep an eye on this page: http://mylearn.vmware.com/portals/certification/#v6

I would not expect to see upgrade path for VCA as this is entry level exam, you will just need to take the new exam once it is released.

Hi,

There's no VCA upgrade path from version 5.x to 6.x.

I am a VCA-DCV [5.5 Version] passer last March 2015 and I found out that its better to go for VCA6-DCV without any doubt as this will help you in the future. Although there's no retirement yet for VCP5-DCV Certification, it is much safer and reliable to take the current VCA6 path so at least you are on the current trend.

Hope it help you this in terms of deciding where to go and what to take. Good Luck and Have Fun!:smileycool: Smiley Wink
