VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) Defense Schedule for 2015

The new VMware Certification team is pleased to announce the Defense Schedule for 2015.

In addition to the first 2015 Defense held in February (already in process), there are two additional scheduled dates.

The dates are:

June 9-11, 2015 - (applications are due by April 1)

October 20-22, 2015 - (applications are due by August 25)

For each date, there will be concurrent sessions held in Palo Alto, Frimley, and Singapore.

More sessions will be added as needed.

Update: An additional VCDX-NV only defense has been added:

November 9-13, 2015 - Palo Alto only - (applications are due by October 5) - apply here.

Interested candidates can submit and defend their designs for any of the VCDX credentials:

- (VCDX5-DCV) VMware Certified Design Expert 5 - Data Center Virtualization

- (VCDX-Cloud) VMware Certified Design Expert – Cloud

- (VCDX-DT) VMware Certified Design Expert-Desktop

- VCDX-NV - VMware Certified Design Expert - Network Virtualization

Have you attended the bootcamps before?  The content is much the same just with a few updates, so was not sure if you've attended one already....they are also online on the VCDX information pages with an older recorded one.

Hi Chris,

Unfortunately not. I missed the one last year in Frimley; due to work commitments. I wasnt sure if there was one at VMworld Europe - but again I could not make it due to work.

I will look into the bootcamp videos - but wanted to meet with other VCDX aspiring candidates also.

Gotcha....no problem...

I just finished the deck updates for PEX so we will be working to get dates out for the rest of 2015 but the majority will be in the US except for the Dutch VMUG in March was on the targeted list...unless of course you are going to PEX.

We will be well over doubling the workshops held in 2014 and decided to align with VMUG's larger than 500 attendees since the workshop is a 4-hour class and would be held the day prior to a VMUG.  We unfortunately cannot do the smaller ones or all of them due to budget.  I am thinking about an online one....but being as they are interactive....it loses a lot of luster.  I may look to hold them at VMworld 2015 as well.

I won't be able to make PEX, but should be able to make VMworld Europe (if I ask my boss very nicely).

The VCDX applications are in! We are beginning to review the applications now, and will be sending them to the panelists to review and judge very soon.

Expect to hear your results on or before May 1, 2015. I will send the results out as I receive them, in order to give as much planning time as possible for all who are invited to defend.

For those who have applied for their second VCDX, and do not need to redefend, you will also receive your results on or before May 1.
