Hello,
I have some problems to install Esx on my new configuration.
My configuration is:
- I5 4590S Cpu
- GA-H97N-WIFI Motherboard
- Crusial Ballistix Sport - DDR3 - 16 Go
- GeForce Quadro 600
- 1 sata hard drive
Every time i tried to install esxi 5.1, 5.5 or 6.0 i have some black or rose screen with fatal error.
Someone would have an idea?
Thanks
Hi,
I finally found the solution, one my RAM memory are malfunctioning.
When i put it off, i can install Esxi Well.
Thanks for your help.

You have to check for a modified installation disk/ISO which contains drivers needed for the onboard storage controller and the NICs (network interface(s)).
The H97N is not on the official VMWare HCL and therefor not supported in original installation image.
Not sure if the WiFi connection will work in any way.
Thanks for your awser, i will create à custom OS with sata-xahci lastest version included but i have the same result.
I think is a bios or uefi problem i can't install windows too.
Try to switch to BIOS boot mode (instead of UEFI). Maybe a BIOS update helps if the BIOS is not yet latest?
Here are some other discussions on installation using a H97 chipset mainboard:
Maybe this helps in finding the cause of your issue...
I read it before but isn't resolve my problem.
I can't have a full boot, it's always crash before.
I tried uefi, legacy and also fastboot mode.
I put the lastest bios and i also downgrade too the bios but nothing new.
You may try a Linux live CD/DVD and see if that boots up. Because you can't install Windows either I would suggest the mainboard is somehow broken.
i already do that with a usb live boot but is not working.
If all boot processes fail - no matter what OS you use - I would consider this a hardware failure and swap the mainboard.
I will try to boot with Linux Live OS to exclude hardware problem.
I tried to start ubuntu, backtrack, CentOS but no one as working.
I going to replace my motherboard.
