i would like to know what is the best practice to change vmware srm edition from standard to enterprise. i must change due to number of VMs that can be protected limitation.

Once you have a new license key, simply assign it to SRM solution instead of the old one:
VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5.8 Documentation Center
The process is not disruptive off course.

Thanks for the response. Do you mean that i just need to assign the new entreprise keys to the SRM without withdrawing the old one.
