VCAC 6.x Error has been caught, see event logs located on the vCAC server for detail or contact your system administrator for more information.

Afternoon

We have had VCAC 6.0.1 running for a while now without problems. From some yet unknown reason our tenants are unable to request new Catalog items, receiving error "

"Unable to complete the requested operation: An error occurred while sending the request."

We are also the error :"VCAC 6.x Error has been caught, see event logs located on the vCAC server for detail or contact your system administrator for more information." when navigating to certain tabs in the infrastructure tabs. All other VCAC services are running.

When looking in the Web_admin_error logs we see the following error:

INNER EXCEPTION: System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: An error occurred while sending the request. ---> System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. ---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.

None of our SSL certificates have changed or has expired.

I just ran into the same issue. It started at roughly midnight based on log entries. I also believe this is the day the environment was built some kind of time bomb that I can't find yet. Did you ever get an answer to this? I am guessing I will need to open a ticket on this. But hoping you might have already found the resolution.

Just wondering do any of the other screens lock up or not?

Our production has 6.1.1 and it seems it locked up every month where we can not request catalog items, infrastructure sub tabs do not load.

The only way to clear is reboot and everything works.

Yeah, I had found that and completed the step with no luck. One minute on the phone with support and they reminded me about the IAAS piece having a cert I was just looking at the vRA appliance cert. Of course I go check the IAAS cert and it is expired. Time to get a new cert in place then this will probably be resolved.
