How to integrate the Citrix xen servers for monitoring in vCops ?

Does it requires any management pack installation ?

You can accomplish this a couple ways. You can use a GA adapter, such as a SCOM, to collect information from Citrix using the SCOM MP. You can also deploy Hyperic and the associated agents and use that to manage the Citrix components, pulling the Hyperic data in to vCOps using the Hyperic Analytics Pack. You can also create a field adapter to pull in the data from the citrix infrastructure using the Citrix api, however that's a custom job. An vCOps GA Citrix 'adapter' isn't available [yet].

if the vCOps GA Citrix 'adapter' isn't available [yet] mean, how come AWS - (Amazon ) is getting integrated in vCOPS 5.8 for the monitoring process ?

The statement [yet] means that feature is not currently available. 5.8 isn't officially released yet nor is the AWS mgmt pack for 5.8 to my understanding. With 5.8, a number of other packs are to be released in that general timeframe, but availability of details is limited until the 5.8 GA date.

If you're asking why the AWS pack is getting released, but Citrix isn't released yet, I don't have an answer for you other than to keep an eye out for the new packs as they become available.

I am not aware of a GA adapter to connect XenApp to vcOps.

The generic SQL adapter can be used to pull data from Citrix EdgeSite, this is usually done as a PS engagement

As far as I know there isn't a XenApp plug-in for Hyperic, the only one I'm aware of is for monitoring XenServer. Does anyone have any links or more details?
