VAMI of Replication Servers doesn't work

Hello , I have 2 replication servers. 1 in each of my VI clusters. They are running 5.1 and I am looking to upgrade. Replication is working fine.

When I try to access either via my browser it doesn't connect (https://ipaddres:5480)  (I've tried 3 browsers and 2 pcs)

This has never worked. Is there anything I need to do or check?

Hi Fergal,

Try to open http://ipaddress for VR appliance.

Thanks,

Hi Fergal,

Can you try to connect using telnet:

telnet VR_appliance_address 5480

If it connects - there is something wrong with the cipher suite configuration in the browsers you have tried to used.

If it does not connect, try invoking the same telnet command from within the appliance console. It if succeeds - something (firewall?) in your network configuration is blocking access to port 5480.

If telnet VR_appliance_address 5480 from within the appliance does not work - please open a SR, so that you can get further assistance by the support team.

Regards,

Martin

Thanks , when I telnet from a command prompt to 192.168.14.120 5480 , it goes into a blank window....it looks likes it is accepting the telnet connection.

I've tried from a IE & Chrome browser. Should I try a firefox?

Resolved - I turned off my local proxy (which should be ignoring local traffic requests) and it logged straight in.

I'll have to add some exceptions into my proxy....thanks.
