i cant mount an SD card as a hard drive in my virtual machine

i have a virtual machine with windows xp installed on it

i attached an SD card to my laptop

i followed the instructions to add it as a physical drive to the VM

but i failed to do so with these messages

when i tried to power on the VM

i clicked OK then

pressed OK this time also and then

this is a normal message but without the memory card mentioned with devices .. then this message displays and i must choose "Abort" because "Retry" and "Continue" displays the same message again each time i choose these .. so i have to choose "Abort"

the boot process ABORTED and virtual machine turned off and refused to continue booting and displayed this message down my VM window

SO i cant mount my SD card as a partition in the VM system with windows XP

Please advice

Looks like you try to run that VM without elevated rights.

You must start WS via rightclick "run as admin"
