3-monitor Unity in 7.1.1 still broken

I'm running Yosemite on an iMac, fully patched up (both os x and fusion).  Win7 Pro is the guest os.  Happily applied 7.1.1 so I could get Unity functionality back on my three monitor setup per the release notes, but no...

The following error message spawns and the vm reverts back to windowed mode on a single monitor.

VM is hardware v11.  VMware tools was installed, vm bounced.  VM shut down, powered off, powered on, etc.  No dice.

Does this get moved back to Known Issues?

Thanks!

Hi,

You could test according to this link VMWare Fusion 7 / 3 displays not supported?

Hope helpful.

Still broken for me .. nothing helps.

One peculiar thing:  tried the manual update of the .vmx file according to the suggested thread.  However, even though I know I have ONLY 2 monitors (on MacBookAir and one external), after a VM re-start, the svga.numDisplays setting goes from 2 to 3.

I tried that suggested workaround and still get the same error popup and unity failure.

Thanks though!

For what it's worth, I didn't have any luck using the suggestions in that thread (VMWare Fusion 7 / 3 displays not supported?). I posted my results there when trying to use an OSX guest in an OSX host with multiple monitors, including all of the feedback.
