Measureup practice tests

Hi guys, looking to take the VCP550 exam shortly, and just wondering how relevant Measureup's practice test would be? It looks like this only covers the VCP510 exam so I guess my question is would it be worth my time?

Thanks

Bump

I'm also planning to take the VCP550 shortly. I found the MeasureUp  practice exam helpful when studying for my MCSA-Server 2012 exam and was hoping someone had some feedback on the MeasureUp VCP510 practice exam and its relevance WRT VCP550.

Thanks

Questions in that practice exam that are applicable to all 5.x versions will be fully valuable for VCP550. Those that are specific to 5.0/5.1 will still give you an idea of the question format and typical right/wrong answers presented, but the question or correct answer may not be relevant for VCP550.

The same applies to any other VCP510 practice exams you find.

I recently took the 510 exam and barely passed using the official VMWare book & the MeasreUp practice test with the background of being a VMWare admin since 2008, earned my VCP3.

While taking the test the biggest issue I ran into that wasn't covered in the official book questions from Pearson or MeasureUp tests were the more detailed trouble shooting scenarios w/screen shots. These were also absent from VMWare Mock Exam on their website. The biggest headaches for me were the Fiber Channel related questions as I haven't used a Fiber storage solution since 2009 (moved everything to NFS), so I would definitely bone up there, along with difficult questions of VSS and VDS. I actually don't remember getting any VSA questions or at least they were so basic I didn't have to think or go back later. The one nice thing was that MeasureUp's questions would reference online material & which chapter from the official book where the answer is covered, however, that still wasn't enough.

Out of curiosity I just tried two demo exams on Transcender's site and those two mini demo exams felt more like the actual exam questions in difficulty than MeasureUp's. If and when I go for my VPC6 I will probably pick up the official book again to build that solid base, and then use Transcendor's product. Fortunately you can demo both before purchasing, so give them a shot.

Good luck!
