Hi,

Add new vSwitch and bind the vmnic to that, then move your virtual machine to this vSwitch.

Instead of creating a new vSwitch, and breaking redundancy, you could create a new portgroup on your current vSwitch, and set vmnic0 as the only active vmnic (vmnic1 as unused).

Any special reason for wanting to do this?

With correct switch and Vlan configurations you should never have to force a VM onto a specific vmnic.
