Host command to tell if a VM has finished resuming

A windows batch command file is wanted that waits for one VM to finish resuming before it resumes another VM. So only one VM is being resumed at a time, to speed up resuming.

Couldn't find any .lck files or directories that exist only when a VM is running but not when it is resuming.

Using grep in the .log file might work but it is not trivial as the log file contains several sessions.

What's a proper way to do it?

what about using a vmrun command that will only work with running machines ?
