How to manually discover resources in the UI?

Hi,


the SDK guide describes that when the adapter instance is set to manual discovery, I could select the resources from the UI.  How to do that exactly in the VR Ops UI? I wasn't quite able to find it.

By default, most MPs will create instances in auto-discovery mode. When you put them in to manual discovery mode, only 'existing' resources/objects will be collected upon and new resources will not blindly IMPORT.

So when you have a MP instance in manual discovery mode, you need to explicitly IMPORT objects/resources. This is done via the "eyeglass/looking glass" icon in the environment section's menu in the top bar above the object list panel.

If I understood, you would like to manual add resource, that wasn't auto-discovered, right ?

you should go to Administration -> Environment Overview -> Add Object ("Plus" icon) and write in relevant details.
