Log Insight Agent - tracking log files / picking up where it leaves off?

Hello,

     I would like to verify that the Log Insight Agent (Linux in my specific case) does in fact 'catch up' after a restart of the liagnetd service or reboot of a server.  It appears to track the actual log file against the operational files the agent uses.  Please let me know if this is the case or if my assumptions are wrong.

You are correct, as soon as the agent first discovers a file it will start collecting at the next event and will always monitor where it left off and will catch up if anything interrupts collection.
