I just buy a new server with new intel mainboard s2600wtt.

When start the installation of esxi 5.5 u2, acpi module freeze, and the server restart.

I called the technical assistance of INTEL, but now, i doesn't have resolution.

Any idea?

Andrea ,

Please check if you using the compatible model of hardware to install esxi .

Also try the steps mentioned in the below thread.

s2600wt have only one bios on web...and the same on mainboard.

I just reinstall the bios, but not work.

your board is supported though

i think it might be other hardware

bad memory module, raid controller card, vga card, bad power supply,etc....

I have the exact same problem, but I doubt it's a hardware error, as I installed Hyper-V with no issues whatsoever.

I thought the problem was in my RAID module (Intel RMS25KB040), but I added the drivers to ESXi instalation and got the same result...

The problem was memory mapped io in bios.

The intel support suggest me to disable and now all sevrer work.

Thank you all for support

Thanks, it worked for me too! :smileyplus:

But still, I couldn't install ESXi 5.5, kept getting error during installation on tools.t00, but it worked with ESXi 5.1, and I'm OK with that...as long as I don't have to work with Hyper - V :smileycool:
