Copy of VMGuest between vSphere servers

Dear All,

     I am new to vSphere (I have only use vmWorkstation).  At this time I am using the vSphere ESXi 5.5 server to host 10 vmGuset on my company server (Which is manager by our IT department) to development a project.  But I have complete the project I will need to copy all the vmGuset to the site server (using external hard drive).

     Can anyone please advice on the best way I can do this please (Do I just copy the vmGuset from the server and paste it onto the site server).

For this scenario, better you can use 'VMware vSphere Replication" feature or any third party software to replicate the VMs which are available in the Production server to Site Server.

Hello,

you have several options:

1. Export VM to OVF Template (Sigle file (OVA)) you can do it easily form vSphere client menu File -> Export ->Export OVF Template , VM should be Powered off before...

2. Through VMware Converter: VMware vCenter Converter Standalone

3. Via some backup solution/script:

lol, I've been wanting to ask this too but never did.

The methods you meant, assuming the VM hardware does not change, is there any way to do it and the NIC MAC does not change?
