We always put new kernel RPMS (kernel, firmware, headers) in the "Application Package Repositories" and then when we upgraded the appliances, those new update RPMs would be installed. We just changed to CentOS-6.6 after already using CentOS-6.4 and CentOS-6.5 with no problems. Now with CentOS-6.6, all the RPMs we put in the "Application Package Repositories" get upgraded on the appliance, except for the kernel RPM. firmware and headers RPMs get upgraded, but the kernel RPM is just not upgraded with no mention why in any of the logs I found. This process always worked so well and seemed to just stop with CentOS-6.6 kernel RPM. After the successful upgrade of everything except the kernel RPM, I can install the lone kernel RPM manually just fine (rpm -i).
Can anyone offer any suggestions to allow me to upgrade the kernel with vamicli?
I am just going to upgrade the kernel with a script in the PostInstallShellScript in the VM profile .xml file (not in the GUI). I see no better way around this.
