ALIEN Hardware on new IBM Hosts

Hi guys please help me identify this component and get rid of it . It causes issues with vsphere Host Profiles . Some of my new IBM X3850 X6 BigBoy Host have them , some don't .

I did Disable the USB over Ethernet in IMM to get rid of pseudo nic in networking tabs .

I see this is Storage Tab on most of my Hosts , but I can ensure you the host does not really have a CD rom , or Virtual Media Mounted in IMM .

ESXCLI >

vmhba33.JPG

ESXCFG >

CD rom.JPG

What is it , and how do I get rid of it ?

VMhba33 is not even in /etc/VMware/esx.conf , not is it listed as device alias in Host Profile manager , so no way to exclude it .

So I end up with non compliant Hosts in Host Profiles  , as some have it , and some don't .

Hi Guys , I found the problem

Looks like some sort of IBM IMM bug where it does not release Virtual Media used to install ESXi to embedded key , and ISO does not reflect active mount in GUI

All you need to do it login to IMM and "Activate"  Virtual media , and select "Unmount ALL "

Reboot your ESXi and lame CD rom will be gone .

I trust this will be fixed , as there was no ISO file mapped  , at least , not in IMM interface .
