Cannot start VM ware, Windows is Repeatedly loading( W110: Can't set WSS, error 1314)

Hi,

      I am unable to start my Vmware.Windows screen is repeatedly loading,

i have attached the images (picture1 and icture2) of the Windows screen and vmware log. kindly help.

Hi Satya,

VMware Workstation 8, would have been nice to mention that in the topic as it is several years ago that it was released and people might -wrongly- assume that it is the latest Workstation.

According to your attached log, your CPU in the host cannot switch to long mode.

So either the CPU isn't capable of running 64 bits or you will have to enable VT in the BIOS and cold restart it.

In addition to what wila said, the virtual machine you are trying to start seems to be a VM that was last run in VMware Fusion and has been suspended (rather than shut down). Your options are to either resume the VM on the MAC and then shut it down, or delete the .vmss file from the VM's folder (which is like a cold reset).
