Failback without data

Hello,

We perform many DR tests via SRM every month. Regular scenario: perform a recovery, server owner change some data on the server, test it, then failback with new data.

I anticipate that in some cases server owners may request to perform a failback without data changes: just delete VM in the recovery site and bring back VM in the protected site. No replication back.

Is it a way to perform this via SRM?

Hi,

I don't believe this is possible. Consider using Test Mode for those who don't want the data to be replicated back.

If this is a small environment, you may take VM snapshot before users start making changes to VMs and revert to the snapshot before re-protect. But this is pretty awful...
