Esxi 5.5 Web Client

Hi,

I've got Esxi 5.5 installed. I hear all this talk about the web client. Where is it? I've searched everywhere. I've gone to the IP of my Esxi Box and there is nothing on that page saying Web Client.

Thanks,

Rick

Heya buddy,

I've only a few hours interaction with VMWares EXSi and the rest.

As I understand it, ESXi5.+ is just the hypervisor as a standalone product, what you would do is use the Client, install and VM with windows or whatever server, then install vSphere which actually contains the SingleSignOn(SSO) WebClient and a few other products..

I think this answers what you are asking, I'm no pro by anymeans buddy Smiley Happy

Hope this helps

Kind regards,

As the poster above said, it is not included with the hypervisor.

You can find it on the vCenter installation media:

The Web Client is an application that you typically install on the same machine as vCenter.

It is important to understand that the Web Client cannot exist without vCenter. In fact, the Web Client cannot connect to a single ESXi host, it can only connect to a vCenter instance.

The Web client is only available when you have vCenter Server. You will need to use the classic client
