How to download ESX 3.5

I am a n00b, yes. however I have an old IBM x336 that I want to put ESX on but am unable to find out how I can download this excelent tool that I might run 2K3 on. and FreeBSD in my home network.

I had previously found the download link however when I choose to download I get this message:

You either are not entitled or do not have permissions to download this product.

Check with your My VMware Super User, Procurement Contact or Administrator.

Do you have a license for ESX 3.5 that is registered on your myvmware-account?

I have hunted around to find out how to get a license. do you have any ideas how I go about getting a license
