Hello,
From time to time I see messages in the VDR message log like this:
Oct 1 11:49:10 vmdr-a datarecovery: Chunkdedupe WARNING: Slab file 354: Header 1 at header offset 34604544 is invalid (checksum error - possibly result of purging).
Oct 1 11:49:13 vmdr-a datarecovery: Chunkdedupe WARNING: Slab file 275: Header 1 at header offset 34604544 is invalid (checksum error - possibly result of purging).
Oct 1 11:49:15 vmdr-a datarecovery: Chunkdedupe WARNING: Slab file 251: Header 1 at header offset 34604544 is invalid (checksum error - possibly result of purging).
Is this anything to worry about, or just part of VDR's day to day operations?
Thanks
Nick
Hi mrnick1234567 ,
Welcoem to the communites.
Could you please rename below two file and check if problem is resolved
/{dedupe mount point}/VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat
/{dedupe mount point}/VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore.cat.bak
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. What exactly does that do? I don't really want to try things on th production system without knowing the impact!
Thanks
Nick
Hi,
mrnick1234567, have you find any additional information regarding those checksum errors? I have the exact same issues...
Hi,
I'm also seeing tons of this message, with the exact same value for 34604544, in my /var/log/syslog, during a restore of a VM.
However the restore seems to have succeeded.
Any explanation for this ?
