Upgrade a DV Switch version from 5.0 to 5.5

I would like to know if the upgrade of a DV switch version from 5.0 to 5.5 would have any impact and loss of connectivity during the upgrade ?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Thank You

The answer from documentation and VMware engineers is no impact nor lose of any network IO. I will be doing it shortly in our Production system from 5.1 to 5.5.

In our DEV environments, which are quite small, I had no loss of networking. Took 10 seconds maybe--but I am certain that will depend on how my ports, etc.

I do know that during the upgrade, you will not be able to create any new port groups, etc,,,and I am pretty sure if someone is trying to create a new virtual nic for a vm, or changing port ids for virtual nics etc, will fail.

I have done upgrades of DV Switches from 5.0 to 5.1 and 5.1 to 5.5 and never had any impact and loss of connectivity during the upgrade.  Upgrading DV switch from 5.0 to 5.5 should not have any loss of connectivity.
