vCOPs and reporting time frame

    kopper27 Expert

      hi guys

I was generating some reports in vCOPs we have version 5.8.2

the thing is we see this report "Virtual Machine Capacity Overview Report" only reports 2 weeks back.... is there a way we can have in this report or other option in this software how to get more weeks back like 3 months for example?

Report just shows two weeks back

maybe that cannot be done in the report but is there another way to get it?

      thanks a lot

How long has vC Ops been running in your environment? Please generate a report (PDF) and attach it here, as that will tell us your display settings and the subsequent reason for the short timeframe of the report.

              #Comments:

Capacity Remaining is based on: Physical Capacity #might want to use usable capacity, rather than physical.. this way you can leverage buffers.

Usable Capacity Rules: Use high available (HA) configuration and reduce capacity is enabled # This isn't being honored, as you need to use usable capacity to use this.

Trend views Default interval: Daily Default time window: 30 intervals Forecast horizon: 16 intervals # Your time interval is daily. Your report goes back 30 days, or 1 month (4 weeks), and looks ahead 16 days (2 weeks). The report reflects this. If you wan to change this, adjust to an interval such as weekly and adjust the interval #s to a quantity warranted your amount. I usually like to have about 6 months of data before doing weekly trends, but that's just my preference.

                thanks a lot

I see where I have to change the settings

when you mention about your preferences being six months before weekly, you're saying you a report for 6 months monthly after that you do it weekly?

I would like to have the same settings as you

so how I do configure it? if it's not much to ask
