TypeError: Canont read property "name" from null

I was trying to follow this

http://vzare.com/2014/02/19/service-provisioning-using-vcenter-orchestrator-vco/

However, when I ran the first test , it errors out that it cannot read property name from null.

any idea ?

This may be caused by the inventory service... disable the use of inventory service in vCO by adding the following line to vmo.properties

com.vmware.o11n.vim.useInventoryService=false

Restart the vco-server service after making change.
