What kind of network virtual adapter you're using on VMs ? E1000 or vmxnet3 ?

Change the NIC type by removing and readding a new network card with type "VMXNET3. It will fix your issue.

Hi,

Thanks for posting issue on the VM. Please try to change nic adapter type, make sure you have VMtools installed on these VM's. There is similar community question raised and User confirms issue is fixed by changing Network adapter type. Please check below link.

Hi,

Thanks for update btw current Nic type is Flexible - o/s is windows 2k3 whether this can help ?..

The Flexible network adapter identifies itself as a Vlance adapter when a virtual machine boots, but initializes itself and functions as either a Vlance or a VMXNET adapter, depending on which driver initializes it. With VMware Tools installed, the VMXNET driver changes the Vlance adapter to the higher performance VMXNET adapter.

I will recommend you first, upgrade VMware Tools and replace the virtual NIC with VMXNET3.

Nore:

VMXNET 3: The VMXNET 3 adapter is the next generation of a paravirtualized NIC designed for performance, and is not related to VMXNET or VMXNET 2.
