I assume you're talking about Capacity Planner. It's not really an "audit tool", more of an "inventory / performance data collection tool"

Yep...VMware Capacity Planner. You cannot purchase the product, you have to engage with VMware (or partner) professional services to gain access to it.

Check out www.platespin.com and their PowerRecon product. If you are after simply inventory you can install v3 and discovery upto 100 servers for free. If you want usage stats then you will have to purchase the monitoring module.
