Does anyone know if it's possible to add more than one DC via the "Configure Active Directory server" workflow? If I already have one configured and try to add another it just replaces the first with the second. I need to add one DC from each of our six domains. Any ideas?
The AD plugin only supports a single domain at present. I don’t know if that’s due to change at any point in the future or not however.

Yikes. What is the solution if I have 6 domains I need to talk to and add/remove machines from?
You might be able to do that bit with some PowerCLI perhaps. I’ve not had to work with multiple domains in vCO before.
It’s either that or calling command line tools to do the work for you. This thread (https://communities.vmware.com/message/1844246#1844246) in the Orchestrator forum is related.
Also have a look at Active Directory Plugin Multidomain
As long as all 6 domains are apart of the same forest, I think you could make the ldap connection to the root domain. All domains would need 2-way transitive trusts.
I think that perhaps vExpert: Burke Azbill could answer this for you.

Hi did anyone get an answer to this issue?
I'm running vCAC 6.1 with the v1.0.5 AD plugin and I cannot query child domains from the root domain. This is quite critical for large organisations like mine where we have multiple domains and we need to have automation to manage objects located in different domains.
