Are you able to see CPU usage if you connect directly to the host?  Any CPU data on the Performance tab?

Almost 52 VMs are running on this host machine but top command is not work on ESXi host for getting report of CPU utilization. This host machine is a part of cluster. Four hosts are exist in this cluster whenever CPU and Memory utilization report is showing in another two host machines. Only two hosts are affected currently.

In the DCUI login with F2, then go to Troubleshooting Option.  One of the options in Restart Management Services.

At the console you can run services.sh restart

I am also facing a similar problem in one of my ESXi 4.1 hosts that's connected to vCenter Server 4.1, am not able to view CPU and Memory utilization. My vCentre server has 6 hosts and all other hosts are showing the CPU and memory utilization in the Summary --> Resources.

I have also restarted the management network on this host but still the problem is not solved, not able to understand what could be the problem. Am planning to reboot the host as the last option.

Forgot to mention, I even tried to connect to the host directly and check the summary under resources, CPU and Memory utilization was zero whereas \i hav many VMs running on this host.

Looks like some report agent service is not working properly

I had same issue now , Just restarted the Exsi Management aganets from CLI and found the changs were reflected...  I use Exsi 5.0

Points to be observerd here.

1. login to individual host through viclient and see the CPU and memory , check if it is displayin

2. If it shows and not able to display on Vcneter server

3. Restart the Agents .. It will work fine
