Upgrading from vSphere 5.0 to 5.5

Our current environment is vSphere 5.0 with 2 datacenters, each with its own vCenter 5.0 servers and ESXi5 hosts.

We are looking to upgrade to vSphere 5.5 but have been warned that moving to 5.5 from 5.0 may be tricky.   So, before we do anything else, I'm looking for USER advice on upgrading ver5.0 to 5.5.  I've found in past upgrades that formal recommendations from VMware are fine but I get the best suggestions from Users

Any Gotcha's to watch out for?

For vCenter Server, if you follow the best practices, I think you will not get problem, but remember that are some differences between 5.0 and 5.5, like new SSO component, then make sure read the entire guide before start the upgrading... And for ESXi, make sure your hardware are on the HCL.
