Does vSphere support PCoIP without Horizon View

I don't really know where to start. We have a client that wants to use a Dell-WYSE P45 zero client to access a virtual machine running on a ESXi server. The P45 only supports PCoIP protocol. The question I have does a VM running on an ESXi server support this protocol without the expensive Horizon View product?

There are 2 answers to your question. 1st, a VM running on ESXi "can" support PCOIP but with a normal install only can be accessed via RDP. 2nd, No you will need a connection broker (Horizon View Connection Server) to get the Zero Client to get to the VM. PCOIP comes into play with use of the connection broker.

Hi

Welcome to communities.

Yes vmware support pcoip and it works on port number 50002 (TCP/UDP) for 4.0 and 4172 (TCP/UDP) for above 4.5

For additional port querry you may follow below kb
