I was trying to do some work with OVF's and custom properties. Found some blog posts and tried to follow along
built up my CentOS vm, turned on VApp Options, OVF Settings are accessible via VMware Tools and I created a property in the Advanced section.
Rebooted the VM for good measure and ran the following command.
vmtoolsd --cmd='info-get guestinfo.ovfEnv'
no luck.... moved this VM inside of a Vapp and was able to access it just fine.
I've seen OVF/OVA's ask for input for these type of properties and configure themselves without being inside a vapp (VMware Studio is an example of this)
How do I access these properties from a VM?
