monitoring raid status ESXI5.0 (cisco 2911 with sre)

Is there any way (like snmp) to monitoring/tracking the physical drives status.

Background:
Cisco 2911 with service module (SRE-SM-910-K9)
ESXI 5 preinstall on service module

Two hard disk running on RAID 1 in service module.

And Redhat Linux 5 are the application running on VM.

on the vsphere client only can see a datasource1 in Storge.

Hello,

first, i would recommend to use custom esxi installable iso.

Then, you will have better hardware monitoring.

You can verify the "hardware status" tab (if you have a vcenter server) in the vSphere client to be able to know what hardware components vmware monitors actively.

Next, you can use powershell CIM cmdlets to get hardware information
