Hello,
first, i would recommend to use custom esxi installable iso.
Then, you will have better hardware monitoring.
You can verify the "hardware status" tab (if you have a vcenter server) in the vSphere client to be able to know what hardware components vmware monitors actively.
Next, you can use powershell CIM cmdlets to get hardware information
